Legal Billing Specialist - E-Billing

Robert Half is partnering with a growing legal services organization seeking a Legal Billing Specialist with strong e-billing experience to support a busy finance and billing team. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in deadline-driven environments, understands complex client billing guidelines, and has hands-on experience managing electronic invoice submissions through multiple billing portals. This role offers the opportunity to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle legal billing processes including pre-bills, edits, invoice generation, and final billing submissions
• Process and submit invoices through client e-billing platforms and resolve rejected invoices in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with outside counsel guidelines and client billing requirements
• Review attorney time entries, billing narratives, rates, and expense allocations for accuracy
• Work with attorneys and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and approval issues
• Prepare and maintain LEDES invoice formats and support UTBMS coding requirements when applicable
• Track invoice status, troubleshoot submission errors, and manage billing follow-up activities
• Assist with month-end billing close and reporting activities
• Support collections and billing reconciliation efforts as needed

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of legal billing experience, with direct e-billing exposure preferred
• Experience working within law firms or professional services environments
• Hands-on experience with e-billing platforms such as Legal Tracker, CounselLink, Serengeti, Collaborati, BillingPoint, TyMetrix, or similar systems
• Familiarity with LEDES billing formats and client billing guidelines
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Experience with legal billing software (Elite 3E, Aderant, ProLaw, SurePoint, or equivalent) preferred
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
