IT Manager
We are seeking a hands-on Technical IT Manager to lead and support day-to-day IT operations while managing a small team and helping drive key technology initiatives across the organization. This role is ideal for a technically strong leader who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, providing direct support when needed, and overseeing infrastructure, business applications, identity/access management, and enterprise systems projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily IT operations, infrastructure, and end-user support across the organization
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for direct reports; prior people management experience is required
- Serve as a hands-on technical resource for escalated issues involving desktops, systems, applications, and access
- Support and administer Windows and Mac environments, including endpoint configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management
- Manage and support Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including user administration, licensing, security, and cloud services
- Oversee desktop operating system standards, patching, deployment, upgrades, and device management
- Administer and support key enterprise applications, including: Salesforce, Dayforce, NetSuite, and CITEA
- Support and maintain the company intranet or website environment built on SharePoint and ShortPoint
- Manage single sign-on (SSO) and identity/access integrations for third-party applications
- Partner with business stakeholders to evaluate system needs, improve workflows, and support application adoption
- Oversee vendors, MSPs, and third-party technology partners as needed
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, documentation, and best practices
- Ensure systems availability, security, and compliance with company standards
- Participate in and help lead major systems initiatives, including ERP migrations, upgrades, implementations, and integrations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Operations, and other departments on enterprise application support and strategic projects
- Monitor IT performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend scalable technology solutions
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Prior direct report management experience with responsibility for mentoring, coaching, and team oversight
- Strong hands-on technical background in IT infrastructure, support, and systems administration
- Experience supporting both Windows and Mac environments
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure
- Experience supporting desktop operating systems, device management, and end-user computing environments
- Experience administering or supporting business-critical platforms such as Salesforce, Dayforce, NetSuite, and/or CITEA
- Experience with SharePoint and ShortPoint administration or support
- Experience implementing or managing SSO for third-party applications
- Experience participating in or overseeing ERP migrations
- Strong troubleshooting, project management, and vendor management skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical stakeholders
