Robert Half is partnering with an established and rapidly growing Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm in the East Bay that is investing in its next phase of growth. Located just steps from BART, the firm is building out its in-house Tax & Estate Planning team to deliver a fully integrated wealth management experience.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a Tax Manager to play a key role in developing this growing practice while working alongside a collaborative team dedicated to serving high-net-worth clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Wealth Advisors to integrate tax strategies into clients' overall financial and estate plans.
- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for high-net-worth individuals.
- Review trust, partnership, and S corporation tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
- Identify tax planning opportunities, potential issues, and areas requiring follow-up.
- Respond to tax-related questions from clients and advisory teams throughout the year.
- Maintain accurate documentation while supporting efficient tax processes and quality standards.
- Mentor and support junior team members as the tax department continues to grow.

Qualifications:
- Active CPA or EA
- Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing complex individual income tax returns.
- Strong understanding of federal and multi-state taxation principles.
- Excellent organizational abilities with outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Compensation
