Housing Specialist – Affordable Housing

Glen Burnie, MD 21061, US Contract
Compensation: $23 to $26 Hourly

We are seeking a Housing Specialist to support affordable housing programs and assist applicants, residents, and community members throughout the eligibility and housing process.


Responsibilities:

  • Process applications for affordable housing programs
  • Verify eligibility documentation
  • Conduct annual recertifications and interim reviews
  • Maintain compliance with HUD and program regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and applicants
  • Maintain accurate case files and database records
  • Coordinate with landlords, residents, and community partners
  • Assist with housing program reporting and audits



Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of affordable housing, property management, social services, or housing program experience
  • Understanding of eligibility determination and case management processes
  • Strong customer service and documentation skills
  • Ability to interpret policies and maintain compliance standards
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience in Yardi, MRI Software, Elite, Emphasys, HAB, Microsoft Office Suite, HUD Compliance, Section 8, LIHTC, or similar softwares



Compensation

$23.00-$26.00 Hourly
