Cybersecurity Engineer
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise security solutions across identity, endpoint, email, and network layers
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Purview for data governance, compliance, and information protection
- Develop and enforce Conditional Access policies to secure user identities and cloud applications
- Administer and optimize Microsoft Defender suite (Endpoint, Identity, Cloud, Office) for threat protection and detection
- Write and tune KQL (Kusto Query Language) queries for threat hunting, alert tuning, and security analytics within Microsoft security tools (Defender, Sentinel, M365)
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts, incidents, and anomalous activity across enterprise systems
- Manage and enhance email security solutions, including Proofpoint, filtering policies, and phishing protections
- Identify and mitigate risks related to Shadow AI and unauthorized AI tool usage
- Support secure web and network initiatives, including Zscaler implementation and optimization
- Provide limited support and transition planning away from legacy network security technologies (e.g., Cisco firewalls)
- Administer Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), including certificate lifecycle management (issuance, renewal, revocation)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts using tools such as Tenable
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify security gaps, recommend improvements, and support audits and compliance initiatives
- Participate in incident response, threat hunting, and continuous security improvement efforts
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering, security operations, or identity engineering
- Strong experience with Microsoft security ecosystem (Defender, Purview, Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory)
- Proven expertise in Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Conditional Access policy design
- Experience writing and analyzing KQL queries for security monitoring, threat detection, and log analysis
- Hands-on experience with endpoint protection, email security, and cloud security technologies
- Experience with tools such as Proofpoint, Zscaler, Tenable, or similar security platforms
- Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture, threat detection, and incident response
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex environments
Compensation
