Job Description:
A growing organization in the Greater Danbury area is seeking a Bookkeeper for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a dependable accounting professional with hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop and a strong understanding of day-to-day bookkeeping functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate books and records for daily financial activity
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts
- Record journal entries and assist with month-end close
- Support payroll processing and expense tracking as needed
- Prepare financial reports and account summaries for management
- Ensure timely and accurate recordkeeping
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Prior bookkeeping experience required
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop required
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficiency in Excel and bookkeeping software
