The starting wage for this role is $24.15 per hour.
About the role:
Dedicated to enhancing lives in a universal service retail environment with cross-functional responsibilities in both a teller and advanced member service capacity. Consistently uncovers members' needs, offering appropriate solutions and provides accurate resolution to members' inquiries and concerns. Acts as mentor to new teammates.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Processes wide variety of financial transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, transfers and check cashing.
Uncovers existing and potential members’ needs and recommend solutions to improve their financial well-being using a sales through service consultative approach. Conducts all member service functions including consumer accounts, account maintenance, business accounts as well as unsecured and collateralized loans.
Proactively educates members on emerging and existing self-serve technology and digital solutions such as mobile/online banking, bill pay, remote deposit capture and ITM services.
Ensures appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared. Performs branch specific functions as needed, including but not limited to end of day balancing, and night drop.
Recognizes referral opportunities and refers members to internal business partners for specialized services including investments, mortgage or commercial lending.
Supports new teammates as a resource for knowledge, best practices and troubleshooting. May be given the authority to review high risk transactions to perform override authority.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience
Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. Minimum three (3) years of financial institution experience in member service or cash operations or comparable experience in cash handling, customer service, or sales experience, or as a result of demonstrating consistent and proficient knowledge, ability and accuracy in all aspects of the job.Education/Certifications/Licenses
A high school degree or equivalent. Registered as an active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) on the NMLS site. Must renew registration each year and update when changes to name, address, etc. occur.Interpersonal Skills
A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.Other Skills:
