US FUSION & Specialty Construction


Summary

A US FUSION Project Manager is an energetic self-starter with strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. The Project Manager is responsible for managing awarded projects from initiation through closeout while serving as the primary liaison between clients, field teams, subcontractors, and internal departments.

This individual is accountable for project execution, cost control, schedule performance, client satisfaction, risk management, and overall project profitability. The successful candidate will promote a culture of safety, professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout all phases of project delivery.


Essential Functions


Project Management & Execution

1. Manage assigned projects from contract award through final closeout.

2. Serve as the primary point of contact between US FUSION and the Client.

3. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and execution plans.

4. Coordinate procurement of materials, subcontractors, equipment, and labor resources.

5. Support project handoff and pre-construction planning with Operations and Field Supervision.

6. Maintain complete project documentation, correspondence, and records.

7. Monitor project productivity, schedule performance, quality, and cost.

8. Prepare and distribute internal and external project reports.

9. Manage change orders, claims, time impacts, and contract administration.

10. Ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.

11. Facilitate project closeout activities including punch lists, turnover documentation, and final billing.


Financial Management

1. Establish and maintain project budgets and cost tracking systems.

2. Review labor productivity, equipment utilization, subcontract costs, and material expenditures.

3. Prepare monthly cost forecasts and identify financial risks.

4. Collaborate with Accounting to ensure timely invoicing, collections support, and project reporting.

5. Take proactive action to protect and improve project profitability.


Coordination & Continuous Improvement

1. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment across all phases of work.

2. Assist with manpower planning and resource allocation across multiple projects.

3. Support field teams through active communication, coaching, and problem resolution.

4. Maintain strong client, vendor, and subcontractor relationships.

5. Participate in lessons learned reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

6. Upholds the highest standard for safety, quality, and professionalism for employees, co-workers, and Clients.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.

2. Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience in industrial construction.

3. Preferred experience managing geosynthetics installation, HDPE fusion, environmental construction, civil construction, industrial maintenance, or related specialty construction projects preferred.

4. Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and contract administration.

5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with scheduling and estimating software is a plus (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD).

6. Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.

7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

8. Valid Driver's License.

9. TWIC Card and OSHA training preferred.
