Equipment Specialist

In support of Program Manager Tactical Communications & Electromagnetic Warfare Systems, we are seeking Equipment Specialists with experience in supporting DoD Federal acquisition programs; knowledge of related policy, principles, and organizational protocols; and familiarity with relevant logistics information systems.
The Equipment Specialist provides sustainment logistics management support to the Program Management Office and Logistics Management Specialist, including all phases of supportability analysis, supportability planning, and sustainment management.
The specific requirements and tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Collect, analyze, interpret, and develop specialized equipment-specific and supply chain information for use on lifecycle management decisions
- Assess installation procedures and provisioning publication projects, develop Technical Instructions (Provisioning Technical Data), and participate in Provisioning Conferences
- Draft documentation including, but not limited to, Supply Chain Management Requests and Warranty Support procedures
- Active participation in Systems Engineering Events and Engineering Change Proposal reviews to ensure logistics equipment and supply chain management concerns are considered and captured in applicable program products
- Identify observations to formulate a better understanding of the technical requirements and identification of tasks needed to implement corrective actions
- Develop and continuously maintain itemized inventory and shipment databases used for tracking inventory and shipments of Government Furnished Property, including spare parts to and from the Fleet Marine Force and to and from Original Equipment Manufacturer facilities for repair and calibration services
- Develop and maintain a classified (Secret) database, indexed by equipment serial number, to track:
- All Service Requests and fielded equipment covered by Original Equipment Manufacturer warranty
- Requirements for scheduled calibration services
- Conduct an itemized inventory of all PM TCE systems prior to fielding and maintaining documentation of any components that will not be delivered with the system
- Ensure fielded equipment is calibrated according to the calibration schedule
- Support the program’s response to all Service Requests within 72 hours of receipt
Education / Experience
- Senior-Level Equipment Specialist: High School Diploma or GED and 7+ years of relevant experience
- Mid-Level Equipment Specialist: High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with Marine Corps equipment and processes is preferred.

Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, speak and hear, and to use hands and arms for routine work tasks. The employee may occasionally lift or move items up to 30 pounds. Vision abilities required include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
