Function/Duties of Position- Measure pH and DO vs. sediment depth with microelectrodes
- Figure out how to measure Fe(II) using Hach colorimetric methods.
- Re-establish HPLC method for TPA in water samples
- Use TPA method to measure OH vs. depth in microcosms.
Required Qualifications
Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours)
Technical record keeping, reporting, time and project maintanence.
Basic environmental chemistry
- Ability to perform the job duties with or without accommodation.
Additional Details
- All of the work will be performed in the wet-lab space on HRC-3. It will involve using electrodes to measure pH, dissolved oxygen, etc. No travel, no hazardous materials.
- Possibly moving and switching tanks for compressed gas (after training).
