Lead Production Operator
Job Summary
Lead and participate in the operation of a specific filing line that is assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Instruct employees assigned to a line, during a given shift, as to proper work methods and safety procedures
Observe, monitor, and coordinate the workflow and operational tasks performed by operators during a work shift to establish and reinforce procedures
Ensure proper raw materials are staged and areas are clean and neat
Instruct operators to complete tasks based on the production plan
Inspect product line operations and finished goods to ensure adherence with quality control procedures, proper level and visible appearance of product, correct carton, and labels are being used
Enter and complete work orders
Ensure adequate raw materials are available and alert the supervisor of any material needs and required repairs to equipment
Operate all roller equipment including peripheral equipment and other related equipment when necessary
Train new employees and inspect pre-production line work
Ensure operators are maintaining equipment in proper, clean working condition and request maintenance help when needed
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
Considerable experience in assembly line production operations is required
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Considerable experience of line production, packaging procedures and equipment
Ensure team's adherence to safety rules and procedure
Ability to the check quality and ensure finished goods meet acceptable specifications
Ability to visually inspect labels and stickers for correct identification of products
Considerable knowledge of equipment control systems
Special Requirements
May be required to work shifts and weekends
