Position Overview
Leidos is seeking an experienced Air Force SIGINT Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a major Air Combat Command (ACC) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) program at Fort Meade, MD. In this senior role, you will shape and strengthen the Air Force cryptologic enterprise—leveraging integrated ISR capabilities to ensure the collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination of timely, accurate intelligence to combatant commanders and mission partners across the globe.
This is an opportunity to apply deep SIGINT expertise, influence enterprise‑level policy, and work directly with senior leaders across the Air Force and Intelligence Community.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the Service Cryptologic Component functional authority for ISR matters, advising the Directorate of Operations on SIGINT mission management, policy, and authorities.
- Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives, operational plans, and enterprise‑level exercises for the Air Force SIGINT mission.
- Partner with 16 AF and subordinate ISR Wings to maintain operational readiness, compliance, and the integrity of assigned SIGINT authorities.
- Provide expert recommendations and defend operational policy decisions to senior leadership within 16 AF.
- Represent 16 AF across a broad network of mission stakeholders, including ACC directorates, USAF Special Program Offices, Headquarters Air Force, OSD, Combatant Commands, Combat Support Agencies, the Intelligence Community, interagency partners, academia, and industry.
- Strengthen enterprise relationships and ensure seamless coordination across national and tactical SIGINT operations.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- BA/BS + 12 years SIGINT experience OR a Masters Degree and 10 years+ experience. Additional years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated experience with both National and Air Force Tactical SIGINT operations.
- Strong understanding of the National Intelligence Community, Joint Command structures, DoD organizations, and interagency operations
- Experience supporting the ACC ISR enterprise
- Knowledge of advanced dissemination principles, multi‑source intelligence integration, and entitlement management systems
- Exceptional communication skills—capable of producing clear, concise intelligence products and delivering high‑level briefings to senior decision‑makers
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to conduct unbiased, complex research, identify optimal data sources, and produce high‑value collection requirement assessments
- Clear understanding of SIGINT reporting policies
- Familiarity with SIGINT‑related software applications, databases, and target development tools
- Experience with military collection management

Pay Range:
Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
