This role will be located on site in St. Augustine, Florida.
This position is for 3/12 shift, Friday – Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Essential Functions:
- Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools
- Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
- Performing part-fitting operations: filing sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming
- Measures parts with precision tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions
- May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedure
- Daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems
- Use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance, and team effectiveness
- Have enough experience and skills to be self-sufficient and self-sustaining
- Require minimum oversight and guidance
- Ability to train and give some level of oversight to less experienced mechanics
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of structures mechanic experience.
- Ability to follow written, electronic, and verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision.
- Read and understand blueprints
- Ability to wear a respirator and other safety gear.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of E-2 structures experience
- E-2 Fuselage structures experience
