Represents the University in new graduate student recruitment and processes applications and admissions decisions. Participates in recruitment activities and projects, both in and out of state.
The Graduate Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator is responsible for recruitment and admissions activities in the School of Public Health (SPH) at the graduate level. Duties include but are not limited to: representing SPH at virtual, on-site and off-site graduate-level recruitment events; corresponding with potential and current students via phone, email, face-to-face, and online chat sessions; maintaining a thorough knowledge of SPH graduate options, processes and policies; processing large volumes of graduate applications and admission decisions; creating/editing marketing emails and communications; and assisting with data entry and other clerical duties as needed.
The duties of the Graduate Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator position vary based on the time of year, with a primary focus on recruitment in the fall and summer and application processing in the winter and spring. Flexibility and adaptability are essential to this position.
Incumbent must be able to work with office management tools such as the Microsoft Suite and Outlook; possess strong verbal and written communication and oral presentation abilities; be able to focus, organize, multitask; work quickly and accurately under pressure; and prioritize diverse and competing tasks. Experience with PeopleSoft, Liaison International CAS application systems, and CRM environments such as Salesforce or Slate is preferred. Experience creating digital content and marketing visuals, including social media content, is a plus.

Essential Functions
Must be able to use a computer and a variety of software systems for data and contact management. Work is frequently conducted by email, telephone, in-person, or using video communication technology (Zoom, Teams, etc). Must be able to communicate via telephone and in person, and travel to recruitment events/fairs to represent the school. May be asked to work additional hours during peak seasons.
Physical Effort
Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, travel to off-site venues by car or plane, and work occasional evenings/weekends as needed. Must have a current driver’s license.
