Live Fire Test Manager (On-Site)
At MLT, we create solutions by empowering our people to fulfill their passion for service. If this is you, come join the MLT Team as a Live Fire Test Manager III by providing support to the Program Manager, Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA).
- Survivability assessments — Provide evaluations of vehicle, crew, and troop survivability, including ballistic protection and ground vehicle countermeasure systems across PM AAA programs.
- System functionality verification — Support verification of system performance, vulnerability reduction measures, and overall system vulnerability characterization.
- Battlefield Damage Assessment and Repair (BDAR) assessments— Provide evaluations of repairability and recoverability of the vehicle and determine whether any expedient action/repairs would be effective at restoring some capabilities of systems
- Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) access — Obtain and maintain SIPRNet access to support development of all classified Live Fire documentation.
- Integrated Product Team (IPT) / Test Readiness Review (TRR) coordination — Coordinate and prepare agendas for IPTs, TRRs, and technical management meetings; record minutes in accordance with Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) A001.
- Decision briefs — Prepare technical and programmatic decision informational briefs for the Test and Evaluation (T&E) Lead.
- Integrated schedules — Draft and update Live Fire Test / Directorate Integrated Schedules.
- Test Plans — Draft and update Test Plans in accordance with CDRL A012.
- Damage Assessment List (DAL) Conclave support — Support DAL Conclave meetings for all Live Fire programs.
- Test execution — Participate in execution of all Live Fire tests, including:
- Engineering Development Tests; Component Ballistic Testing; Control Damage Tests (CDT); Ballistic Vulnerability Tests (BVT); Automatic Fire Extinguishing System (AFES) testing; Full - Up Systems Level testing events; Exploitation events; and Armor Characterization and Performance Testing.
- Documentation review — Review Live Fire documentation for compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines and program requirements; provide recommendations.
- Observation reports — Draft Live Fire Test Observation Reports in accordance with CDRL A012 for the T&E Lead.
- Design change tracking — Monitor Field Incident Work Instructions (FIWIs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and as built vs. fielded differences for survivability impacts.
- Critical issue tracking — Track Live Fire critical issues and maintain compliance with Data Source Matrices.
- Armor research — Conduct operational research on armor types, materials, and performance.
- Service reports — Draft and update Component Live Fire Test & Evaluation Service Reports in accordance with CDRL A012.
- Developmental and Operational Test support — Assist the CDT/T&E liaison officer with planning and coordination for Developmental and Operational Test events.
Specific/Preferred Requirements:
- Experience supporting United States Marine Corps (USMC) ground combat or amphibious vehicle programs.
- Prior work with Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA), Portfolio Acquisition Executive - Marine Corps (PAE - MC), or similar acquisition organizations.
- Familiarity with ballistic instrumentation, data collection systems, and damage assessment methodologies.
- Knowledge of armor materials, threat characterization, and survivability modeling.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi agency test events (government, vendor, range, engineering).
- Active Secret preferred.
Education:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Science, or related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
