Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an Experienced Electrician to join our team at the Bacchus (Magna), Utah facility. 

Position Summary:
 
Position requires the knowledge and experience to understand and troubleshoot from electrical/instrumentation schematics. Troubleshoot and repair typical industrial electrical equipment, i.e. perform maintenance on robotics, air compressors, electric generators, DC & AC motor controllers, overhead cranes, hydraulics, pneumatics, camera systems, and security systems. Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on industrial refrigeration systems, install raceways, enclosures, lighting systems, wiring systems/devices, motors, pumps and related industrial electrical equipment.

Duties, Expectations and Essential Functions:

Primary assignment is in the Maintenance Department – Electrical, performing activities and tasks associated with the corrective maintenance and construction of designated buildings within the Bacchus plant.

Area specific essential functions, responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

•  Successful candidate must possess and provide documents showing the following:
•  State approved electrical apprenticeship or 2 year associates degrees in Electrical/Instrumentation/Electronics /HVAC. Certificates of completion from accredited institutions will be considered.
•  Employer references showing 5 years industrial or heavy commercial installation and troubleshooting.
•  Able to understand and troubleshoot from electrical / instrumentation schematics
•  Able to troubleshoot and repair typical industrial electrical equipment/perform maintenance on robotics, air compressors, electrical generators, DC & AC motor controllers, overhead cranes, hydraulics, pneumatics, camera systems, security systems, etc. 
•  Able to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on industrial refrigeration systems. 
•  Able to install raceways, enclosures, lighting systems, wiring systems/devices, motors, pumps, and related industrial electrical equipment.
•  Able to work shift work.
•  Able to pass all physical requirements to work with or around explosives.

Rate 12 essential functions and expectations include, but are not limited to:

• Accountable to conduct and/or lead the training of new electricians through on-the-job coaching and mentoring. Responsible to ensure trainee’s and junior employees follow procedures.
•  Effectively and constructively communicate with all levels of personnel including customers, leadership, coworkers and support team members
•  Actively engage in and lead or promote PES improvement activities, process/procedure improvements, standard work instructions and the global improvement of Maintenance 
•  Be an advocate for our safety culture.  Engage, promote and lead our teams in SIS activities, hazard abatements, OP-E, Take Two, etc.
•  Demonstrate the initiative and ability to become knowledgeable and proficient in all area processes and support all levels of hands-on tasks.
•  Guide and positively influence coworkers and others to enhance the safety, quality, cost and scheduling of their team
•  Assists leadership in achieving performance standards
•  Other duties as assigned by leadership

Bids shall be awarded to the senior qualified employee. In selecting the senior qualified employee, the Company will take into account the employee’s ability to do the work, ability to perform the essential functions of the job, specific job experience on similar or related jobs, past job performance and such factors that would contribute to safe workmanship. In the event insufficient bids are received for the opening, the position will be filled in accordance with other provisions of this Agreement. Employee may be required to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Upon successful bid award, employee will be restricted from bidding in accordance with the current union contract.
