This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.
The selected candidate will join the Launch Support System team as a manufacturing engineer. Candidate will have sound technical experience and understanding of Production Processes for Assembly, Fabrication, Planning & Tooling. For day-to-day tasks, must possess strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and PC computer skills. Understanding of tooling strategies for high-rate production, and document control. Possess a can-do attitude and willingness to learn, advise and guide team members in the challenging environment of a startup program
Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment.
Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including Manufacturing Readiness Assessments, total quality management, manufacturing equipment, facilities engineering, process reengineering and establish sector business area procedural documentation.
May facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product tooling, problem resolution, and process improvement.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience; PhD with 1 year of relevant experience or an additional 4 Years of relevant experience may be used in addition in lieu of formal degree.
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years, with ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Understanding & knowledge of engineering releases & supporting documentation needed for material procurement.
Experience authoring/peer reviewing comprehensive and detailed work instructions.
Proficient using MES, Rose, CPLM, NX, and other related tool suites supporting manufacturing engineering.
Strong understanding and experience with both mechanical & electrical drawing
Experience working in a Model Based Manufacturing digital environment
Experience using Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS-Project)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in STEM or an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, etc.
Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance awarded or reviewed in the last 6 years
Experience working design into production and deploying engineering solutions to the field
An understanding of Manufacturing Readiness Assessment’s and establishing Manufacturing Readiness Levels per DoD customer requirements
Prior experience developing and designing tooling for field work and installations
Experience resolving manufacturing process issues & training operators on a new process
Experience in agile environment leveraging Jira & Confluence.
Experience with ICBM Weapon Systems, Missile/Rocket Systems, or DOD programs
Experience working in a Lab / Test environment.
