MDO is seeking a junior researcher to execute research and development sub-tasking. The ideal candidate possesses some experience in signal processing, coding, image processing and/or computer vision. The junior researcher will be expected to coordinate with the responsible investigator (RI) and/or principal investigator (PI) to develop plans to execute research goals. The researcher should be able to assess relevant technologies, analyze quality, and/or algorithm improvements in the area of signal processing, image content extraction, data fusion and/or data analysis.
Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a junior researcher (Level 1) to supporting Mission Exploitation Business Unit (BU). This position is in Aurora, CO. with the possibility of some hybrid opportunities.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mathematics, or physics with 0 years of relative experience. 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance after starting.
Understanding of basic algorithms, signal processing concepts, experimental design.
Coding skills in C++, Java and/or Python.
Interest in signal processing mathematics.
Interest in modeling, simulation and quality analysis.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with software architecture and API design.
Experience with Linux, Windows, DevOPS.
Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
