This position will serve on the Operations Project Management (OPM) functional homeroom team while also providing support to Engineering & Production Operations segments. This position is a military preferred position and we would entertain a SkillBridge participant for the role.
With general guidance from assignment and functional management, this position is responsible for the successful execution of the program’s Production Operations/Manufacturing scope, ensuring integration of cross-functional teams and alignment with program requirements.
What You’ll Get To Do:
• Drive multiple project threads to meet strategic objectives while managing priorities through changing requirements.
• Support strategic planning and manufacturing readiness review activities with a focus on increased quality and productivity.
• Support Engineering Change Management through the Design Review lifecycle and Engineering Change Request (ECR) processes.
• Work directly with design engineering teams to develop Product Definition Package (PDP) release schedules.
• Generate Product Definition Package (PDP) and Build-To/Buy-To Package (BTP) release metrics; assess efficiency, cycle times, work-in-progress, identify impacts and resolutions for delayed releases
• Maintain data, visibility, and metrics supporting hardware deliveries.
• Develop and implement Work Around Plans (WAP) as required.
• Facilitate internal meetings with necessary stakeholders as required to support engineering, production, and test schedules and activities.
• Provide support to the manufacturing floor by working proactively with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze constraints and develop plans, tasks, and recommended solutions.
• Develop and deliver briefings to Program Leadership and/or customer
• Identify opportunities for change and champion needed changes within the organization

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Basic Qualifications
Operations Project Manager: 2 Years experience with Bachelors; 1 Years with Masters or additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Principal Operations Project Manager: 5 Years experience with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and execution of large projects.
Proficiency in creating, maintain and utilizing metrics in excel, and SharePoint. Strong data analytic skill set required.
Experience working within an Integrated Product Team (IPT).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
Ability to work independently and multitask.
3 year’s experience in manufacturing or production environment
Preferred Qualifications
ICBM / Aerospace Systems Industry Experience
Strong Scheduling and Analytical skills
Greater than 2 years of documented experience working in a robust IPT environment
Experience standing up tools / processes / production schedules / metrics
Experience in high rate and/or high mix, low rating manufacturing environments
Knowledge of MRP Systems

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,400.00 - $108,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
