This position will support one or more projects performing design engineering for integration of Command and Control systems, such as radios, networks, antennas, and power equipment, in support of Department of Defense projects. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with production, program management, service providers, equipment suppliers, and customers. Primary responsibilities are cable harnesses design, power analysis, and interconnect diagrams for COTS and GFE equipment. Additional tasks include research, development, design, and testing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer science, computer engineering or related STEM degree
Minimum 2 years' experience (Level 2) in electrical design experience.
Basic knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Visio
Ability to support periodic travel to customer sites in the continental United States.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical personnel.
Secret Security Clearance required day 1.
Preferred Qualifications:
AutoCAD, NX, Cameo (or other MSBE Software)
Presenting Skills or Powerpoint
Willingness to learn and to be trained
Experience in a production environment
Experience using PLM/PDM and MRP Systems
