Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Analyst (A2). This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel Program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. Final grade level offered will be based on suitable applicant experience.

The selected candidate will support Manufacturing Engineering and Standard Tooling teams across the program. We seek a Manufacturing Analyst that will use a unique skill set and hands-on approach to performing activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including planning, continuous improvement, material management, process optimization and liaison. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Submission and follow-up on rapid request orders (RRO’s) for industrial supplies, generate reports to identify aging tool replacements needed, lead aging tool removal processes, monitor aging checkouts of tools by mechanics and send out appropriate notifications, coordinate new tool deliveries including new consumable delivery system for new areas, manage fly away and non fly away consumable inventory levels, communicate with production teams regarding newly designated areas for assets.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience or a High school diploma / Equivalent with 6 years experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • Ability to work on-site in Huntsville Alabama
  • Experience with manufacturing planning,
  • Familiar with tooling and calibration or other similar experience
  • Familiar with manufacturing process
  • Experience with SAP/ERP or other related inventory management system
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and Microsoft Office skills
  • AS9100 audit preparation
  • Root Cause analysis
  • Tool Crib and tool calibration experience
  • Experience with aluminum structures assembly
  • Defense industry experience
  • Experience interfacing with internal teams and external suppliers and vendors
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications


 

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,400.00 - $108,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
