We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal or Senior Principal Electronics Durability Engineer based out of Linthicum, MD.
What You’ll Get to Do:
The durability analysis team supports programs across the sector, including the airborne, ground mobile, ground stationary, and surface based naval applications, and across a variety of length scales ranging from ECS systems, sensor and radar systems, chassis, CCAs, and device levels.
Perform electronics durability analysis, requiring experience in thermal or structural analysis and expertise in fatigue driven design for Mission Systems platforms such as airborne, ground based, and naval applications
Lead durability analysis efforts by owning requirements, proactively obtaining multidisciplinary analysis inputs, and providing programs with robust fatigue mitigation plans, while mentoring engineers less experienced in durability analysis
Provide oral and written presentations and reports to internal and external customers and stakeholders
This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance or the successful transfer of an active DoD Secret Clearance prior to start.
This position may be filled at the Principal or Senior Principal level
Basic Qualifications for the Principal level:
Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience, Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience, Ph.D. with 1 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields.
U.S. citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Ability to work onsite at the Linthicum, MD / Baltimore facility on a daily basis.
At least 5 years of professional experience in electronics design, including solder joint durability analysis for products operating in varied and demanding environments (e.g., thermal, vibration, and mechanical loading conditions).
At least 5 years of experience performing design-by-analysis using a Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) software package (e.g., ABAQUS, ANSYS, NASTRAN, or similar).
5 yrs of experience applying durability analysis methods (e.g., fatigue life prediction, damage accumulation, strain-life or stress-life approaches) to fatigue issues in advanced electronic and avionics systems.
5 years of experience developing and implementing component-level design changes or mitigations (e.g., geometry changes, material selection, mounting strategies) to address durability life limitations.
5 years of experience presenting technical results to internal and/or external program stakeholders and preparing written technical reports as contractual deliverables.
At least 2 years of experience leading engineering teams, including assigning tasks, mentoring team members, and reviewing technical work to achieve hardware design milestones.
Experience managing multiple concurrent deadlines and coordinating technical inputs/data from multiple functional teams.
Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal level:
Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience, Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience, Ph.D. with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields.
U.S. citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Ability to work onsite at the Linthicum, MD / Baltimore facility on a daily basis.

Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
Advanced Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Minimum of 2 years of experience performing engineering analysis utilizing Matlab or similar software.
Minimum of 2 years of experience analyzing and advising programs on electronics production quality nonconformances, field events, or DMS redesigns.
Demonstrated understanding of component CTE measurement practices and Steinberg’s method for vibration analysis of electronic equipment.
Demonstrated experience of performing durability analysis for or advising vendors on durability analysis for vendor designed systems, CCAs, and microelectronics.
