Description
- Work responsibly in a safe manner, following all safe operating procedures and posted requirements.
Follow work guidelines and adhere to all company policies.
Sustain productivity and quality standards.
Handle products according to customer specifications and the company's production standards.
Stage printed rolls in conversion
Load/Unload ink chambers and trays from the machine.
Set/Adjust impression, registration, and web guide.
Responsible for all machine adjustments and job set-ups.
Handle and store wastewater and all inks properly.
Observe rolls for splices and changes.
Record accurate production pounds, including footage, downtime, scrap, roll run numbers, and complete dockets.
Maintain a clean and neat workstation per American Institute of Baking requirements.
Perform other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
Set and change print cylinders, sleeves, Anilox, and chambers on printing decks.
Identify color variations on printed products and/or film and adjust as needed.
Learn how to remount plates, make plate adjustments press side, and how build-up plates so they will print.
Learn how to trim plates and/or apply tape to get rid of plate marks.
Complete assigned tasks as instructed by the supervisor. - Experience running flexographic printing presses preferred.
- A High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read and understand instructions well.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
- Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English required.
- Basic math skills - Addition, subtraction and multiplication in order to record accurate reports and accurate mixing of ink.
- Basic computer skills.
- Writing skills - Adequate for legible and accurate recording of production reports and other pertinent information.
- Be able to pass color blindness test.
