Senior Project Management Subject Matter Expert (SME)

We are seeking a Senior Project Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer at Indian Head, MD. The Senior Project Management SME will specialize in the ability to guide complex technical initiatives from vision through completion in secure operational environments.

Responsibilities:

• Direct cross-functional teams, including a variety of information technology and operational functions, to deliver high-impact solutions and ensure cohesive execution across all workstreams.
• Anticipate project threats, develop mitigation plans, and maintain program stability during shifting priorities.
• Coordinate communication between technical staff and executive stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment at every stage.
• Define and uphold disciplined project management practices to support effective scheduling, budgeting, and resource use.
• Oversee adherence to government and cybersecurity requirements, ensuring all work meets strict regulatory and facility-specific standards.

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related discipline
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience
• Must hold a current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
• Must meet DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II baseline certification requirements by possessing at least one approved certification (such as Security+, SSCP, CCNA Security, GSEC, or equivalent).

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $120,000 to $190,000 (annually).
