JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for quality control, audit, and process improvement activities across Commercial functions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of customer rate structures, profile management, system data entry, and billing outcomes. The role emphasizes detailed rate validation, data governance, and end-to-end pricing accuracy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reconcile rate data across contractual agreements, pricing models, and system configurations to ensure end-to-end accuracy of customer rate proposals.
  • Perform detailed, line-level validation of rate structures (e.g., weight breaks, zones, surcharges, and value-added services) to ensure alignment with contractual terms.
  • Review customer invoices following rate changes to identify billing discrepancies and ensure pricing accuracy.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of rating and billing defects, distinguishing between systemic issues and isolated errors, and driving resolution.
  • Audit and validate changes to customer profile data and contract information across systems to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Manage and resolve incompletion log issues for both cross-border (XB) and domestic (DOM) rates, identifying root causes and ensuring accurate resolution.
  • Execute and support high-volume data entry, maintenance, and system uploads during the annual rate action process; perform validation analyses to ensure accuracy of system entries.
  • Participate in customer implementations to validate that pricing attributes and structures are accurately configured within customer setups.
  • Maintain and update surcharges in accordance with contractual terms, ensuring timely and accurate system configuration.
  • Drive continuous improvement of commercial quality control processes by developing, maintaining, and enhancing SOPs, while proactively challenging and refining existing workflows.
  • Assist with price quote support, and contribute to ad hoc analyses, special projects, and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2 to 4 years of experience is required in a similar role in pricing, billing, or related analytics
  • Intermediate knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing and applications such as MS-Excel, MS-Word, and MS-Access.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Self-confident and able to challenge yourself in productive ways.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Effectively perform and manage cross-functional assignments to meet performance goals within established guidelines and deadlines.
  • Excellent communicator with strong ability to respond to requests for information in a clear and understandable manner, via phone and in writing.
  • Able to work well under pressure, perform and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Assist with research and analysis of data in support of management decisions.
  • Experience in parcel, transportation, or logistics pricing environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with rating concepts such as zones, weight breaks, surcharges, and dimensional pricing preferred.
  • Experience working in high-volume transactional or billing systems preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting.
  • Regular sitting at workstation for 75-100% of the work shift.
