This position will involve basic and translational immunometabolism focused on dietary lipids (triglycerides, cholesterol, fatty acids) in inflammatory disease (both IBD and CVD) in the lab of Alison Kohan. This post-doc position will involve the use of mouse models of disease, human cells, flow cytometry, molecular biology, radio-tracers, and metabolism. The incumbent is expected to independently drive experimental design, appropriate mouse colony maintenance for your own experiments, and write manuscripts, as well as submit a training or pilot grant at least once per year as a post-doctoral fellow. MD/PhD or equivalent degree is required.
