The Texas Tech Physicians Family Medicine Clinic is committed to providing high quality patient care! This position will be a great addition to our Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Family Medicine Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. The current Sports Medicine Team is made up of 3 Faculty members and 2 Fellows with opportunity to expand.

Rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon candidate's qualifications and experience.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Provide Sports Medicine care for local universities and high schools including care in athletic training rooms and sharing faculty coverage at athletic events.
  • Assess and treat sports-related injuries including sprains, strains, fractures and concussions.
  • Produce presentations for Sports Medicine lectures to various learners and students.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly Sports Medicine didactics sessions.
  • Contribute in scholarly work.


Required Qualifications

  • MD/DO or equivalent.
  • Completion of USMLE Step 3.
  • Completion of a Family Medicine Residency.
  • Completion of, or in the process of completing, a Sports Medicine Fellowship.
  • ABMS board eligibility.
