Two full-time faculty positions are available in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Nephrology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Nephrology is recognized regionally and nationally for leading and/or contributing to cutting-edge research, and advancing the knowledge about kidney diseases to patients, peers, and trainees. The division offers an exciting array of training opportunities in Nephrology, including enhanced training in transplantation, dialysis, quality improvement, and patient safety.

Duties for two (2) Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in IM-Nephrology will include contributing to the clinical/patient care, research and teaching missions of the division.

Essential Functions

  • These positions will contribute to the clinical/patient care, research, and teaching missions of the division and will include both transplant and general nephrology practice.
  • Clinical/patient care responsibilities will include both transplant and general nephrology practice.
  • Encompass an active role in departmental fellowship programs, resident, and medical student teaching.
  • Precepting of fellows, medical students and/or residents in an office-based practice as well as providing lectures or leading small group discussions as part of the COM or residency curriculum, clinical case conferences, core curricula and journal clubs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• MD or equivalent medical degree.

• Ohio medical license.

• Completion of three-year Internal Medicine residency.

• Completion of two-year nephrology fellowship program.

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
