Description
We are Northrop Grumman Australia (NGA). As we build our business and our capabilities, we are also developing a reputation as a great place to work. Help us define what is possible for our nation and for your career.
The Role:
This new, senior role sits at the centre of how risk is managed across the MQ‑4C Triton program, a critical Defence capability delivering long-endurance maritime surveillance for Australia.
You will work closely with program leads to surface risks early, shape them into clear actions, and drive them through to resolution.
There is a framework, along with data and tools already in place. The opportunity is to lift engagement, build rhythm, and ensure it is used consistently to support better decisions across the program.
You will partner directly with leaders to translate concerns into structured risks, maintain momentum across the risk lifecycle, and step in where escalation is required.
You will also contribute to performance discussions by providing clear insight into what the data is showing and where attention is needed.
This role is based in Adelaide and requires the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.

You will focus on making the process work in practice.
- Drive consistent, active use of the RIO framework
- Work with leaders to surface and progress risks early

About You
You have seen what happens when risk becomes admin, and you are done with that. You enjoy getting into the detail with people, asking the right questions and pulling the real issues to the surface.
You don’t wait for updates. You drive them.
You will likely bring:
- Experience in defence or complex program environments
- Working knowledge of structured risk frameworks, such as ISO31000
- Experience working across teams to lift discipline and consistency
