Clinical Nursing Faculty - Part-Time, Appointment-Stream Instructors

of Nursing, beginning Fall 2026 at The University of Pittsburgh at

Titusville

The University of Pittsburgh at Titusville is currently seeking qualified applicants for part-time, appointment-stream stream Instructors of Nursing in the Division of Biological & Health Sciences, beginning Fall 2026 in the following areas:

§ Medical/Surgical Nursing

§ Maternal/Obstetric Nursing

§ Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing

Requirements: MSN or higher degree in nursing with at least one year’s nursing experience with a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates. Candidates must hold a current unencumbered RN license in Pennsylvania or compact state (dual licensure in NYS preferred). Possess appropriate clearances* and BLS certification or be able to obtain these prior to the start of employment and be able to perform the duties of a registered nurse. Show evidence of or the potential for excellence in clinical and/or classroom teaching and contribute to a learning environment that values evidence-based practice. Experience teaching at the university or collegiate level is preferred.

*Child Protection Clearances: The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks are required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.

Responsibilities: Applicants must be able to teach in-person in the Associate of Science in Nursing Program at the undergraduate level, including didactic, lab, and clinical settings. Preference will be given to applicants with relevant work experience.
