Job Description

Location: Fort Rucker, AL

Key Responsibilities

  • The expected qualifications for the person filling this position are as follows: Must have at least 10 years of experience in Army Aviation and have served as an Army Aviation Planner/Military Analyst. Expertise may come from rotary-wing, fixed-wing, or unmanned aerial systems (UAS) operations. Must possess experience successfully developing briefings, speeches, information papers, and professional journal articles relating to Army aviation operations, training, doctrine, and program management. Must be able to proofread and edit the work of others to improve quality and identify and correct errors. Must be able to interpret guidance and quickly incorporate changes into draft products to achieve timelines. Must understand the strategic environment and incorporate emerging policy, training, and material decisions into products. 

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Expert level of understanding in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to respond to high-priority, short-turn tasks with speed and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated success collaborating across functions in mission-oriented environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • MA/MS degree a plus
  • Previous service on AVCOE Staff strongly preferred
  • Experience serving in the Army or Joint Staff

Clearance

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
