Overview

Responsible for accurate and timely completion of required research and processing duties necessary to support the Legal Department. The primary objective will be assisting Paralegals with all administrative and clerical duties with an emphasis on data entry and document retrieval. Provide quality member service to Credit Union staff and members by accurately entering data and timely retrieving documents, provides assistance, and/or answer questions. Maintain member accounts and documents in accordance with departmental expectations; assure completeness and accuracy of all documents.

Pay range for this hourly position is $23.61 - $27.60/hr with a progressive benefits package. 



Responsibilities

Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change.
  1. Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's mission and vision.
  2. Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.
  3. Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
  4. Ensures confidentiality of member information.
  5. Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  6. Accurately enter into the system of records any Garnishments or legal documents and attach the accounts or funds of members.
  7. Assists with pulling media for subpoenas and litigation as needed.
  8. Assist paralegals with pulling media for Foreclosures, Replevins, Probate, Bankruptcy, and other in-house litigation.
  9. Identify and research abstract locations, ensure complete and accurate abstract record-keeping, and coordinate the timely ordering and mailing of abstract materials.
  10. Processes and distribute incoming physical and electronic mail.
  11. Performs any other duties as may be required to meet credit union objectives.
  12. Plays a vital role in enriching the community by participating in community service organizations and/or credit union sponsored events on an annual basis.


Qualifications



  1. High school diploma or the equivalent (i.e. GED)
  2. One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
  3. Ability and desire to interact with co-workers to develop positive and effective working relationships in all areas of Credit Union services.
  4. Ability to prioritize assignments and organize work efficiently, to manage large volumes of details.
  5. Ability to work independently.
  6. Accuracy and attention to detail required.
  7. Effective communication skills; both written and verbal.
  8. Ability to operate related computer applications and office equipment.
  9. Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime as necessitated by business demand.
  10. Must be bondable.

Reports to Director Legal Services & Governance.
