Sourcing Consultant Construction and Build to Suit
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Sourcing Consultant to support strategic sourcing and procurement activities for construction and Build-to-Suit (BTS) projects. This role will partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver cost-effective, compliant, and timely sourcing solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Develop Sourcing strategies and contract negotiations
- Review and analyze contract data, business goals and market conditions to identify cost saving opportunities
- Customize contract risk terms and draft non standard contract terms and conditions to address business and risk concerns
- Develop supplier strategy
- Achieve performance measures while developing expertise in policies, procedures and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid level managers to ensure appropriate language is used to achieve final lease documents
- Lead projects, teams or serve as a mentor
- Research and respond to internal or external inquiries
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Sourcing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or vendor management
Strong background in construction, Build-to-Suit (BTS), or site build-out projects
Proven experience handling multiple categories/commodities
Demonstrated expertise in: Vendor/supplier negotiations and Contract management and support
Experience using procurement/sourcing systems (e.g., SAP Ariba or similar platforms)
Strong ability to maintain accurate and timely system updates
Strong ability to document sourcing activities, contracts, and vendor interactions within systems
Comfortable working with data/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau) is an advantage
Prior supervisory or leadership experience is preferred
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
Strong execution skills with the ability to manage tasks through completion
Experience working with cross-functional and global stakeholders is a plus
Exposure to PEZA or real estate-related environments is preferred but not required
Open to candidates who are adaptable and willing to learn new tools and processes
Job Expectations:
- Participate in cross-time zone collaboration, including occasional evening meetings with US stakeholders
- Work in a hybrid setup (3 days onsite / 2 days remote, McKinley Hill)
- Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, and attention to detail in all deliverables
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-based environment
- Maintain a high level of organization and responsiveness in supporting sourcing activities
