Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our corporate accounting team in Dallas, Texas. This role will play an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the monthly close cycle, and helping deliver timely reporting across multiple entities. The position offers broad exposure to core accounting activities while partnering with cross-functional teams to strengthen processes and support business growth.

Responsibilities:
• Record accounting activity through well-supported journal entries and maintain accuracy within the general ledger.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for balance sheet and bank accounts, researching unusual items and resolving differences promptly.
• Contribute to the month-end close process by preparing schedules, reviewing account activity, and supporting financial reporting deadlines.
• Monitor transactions across multiple sets of books and assist with intercompany accounting to ensure balances are properly reflected.
• Investigate account fluctuations, identify the source of discrepancies, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Partner with Operations, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable to clarify transactions and improve the flow of financial information.
• Provide audit support by assembling schedules, reconciliations, and documentation requested by internal or external reviewers.
• Identify opportunities to improve controls and streamline accounting workflows while contributing to special projects tied to expansion or acquisitions.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of accounting experience with hands-on involvement in month-end close and general ledger activities.
• Strong working knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
• Experience managing accounting across multiple entities or multiple sets of books.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and validate financial data efficiently.
• High attention to detail with strong organization skills and consistent follow-through on assignments.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and adapt quickly to new accounting areas.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional business partners.
• Background in private equity-backed environments is preferred.

Compensation

$90,000.00-$110,000.00 Yearly
