This position is located onsite in Melbourne, Florida.
The Mission Management Equipment Engineer in this role must possess in-depth knowledge of computers and electronics for mission processing and data storage and experience in the definition, design, integration, test, and certification of related hardware and software requirements and will be responsible for one or more of the following:
Interpret, allocate, tailor, write and flow down requirements to all levels of a system architecture
Design and develop data storage solutions, perform hardware integration and testing, and requirements analysis
Perform analyses and estimate performance of components, subsystems and systems in accordance with governmental and commercial standards.
Trade studies, documenting subsystem architectures, analyzing performance, and evaluating Technology Readiness Level (TRL) with regard to supplier current and future products offerings
Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams and specifications
Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate mission management subsystems to meet platform mission objectives
Technical management of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration and test support
Developing supplier documentation, performance based specifications, and statements of work
Building supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selection
Review documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviews
A successful Mission Management Equipment Engineer has good leadership skills and understands the scope of the work and the impact of the work on other teams, consistently brings up concerns, issues and risks to program and technical leadership and holds the team to a high level of technical rigor.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Mission Management Equipment Engineer:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Must have experience with integration of COTS electronics into military systems
Must have experience with system modeling and requirements management tools (Cameo, DOORS, Rhapsody, etc.), developing/maturing requirements, and tracing requirements through various levels
At minimum, an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance Secret is required to apply and to start the role, with the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company to meet its business needs
Sr. Principal Mission Management Equipment Engineer:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 6 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience working with a Data at Rest (DAR) product certified to government standards, such as NSA Type-1, Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) or NIST FIPS 140-3
Possess a data storage industry certification such as SNIA SCSP, Netapp NCDA, Dell/EMC DCA or similar
Possess a DODD 8570 certification, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar network/security certifications
Experience architecting physical and logical storage systems to meet capacity, reliability, and workload-dependent performance requirements
Experience deploying network attached storage systems, to include configuring mount points, exports, ACLs and permissions for heterogeneous client systems
Experience developing backup and recovery strategies, to include snapshot and replication scheduling, disaster recovery and business continuity planning to meet RTO and RPO objectives
Experience with Linux or Unix-based operating systems
Basic scripting experience (e.g. Bash, Python)
An active Top Secret clearance
