The National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC) Division of the Leidos Fed Civ IT Business Area currently has an opening for a Business Systems Analyst. This position will be part of a dynamic team working to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Oklahoma City at their Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center location.
The Business Systems Analyst will provide SAS OPSS (AFS-900) application and business process analysis services at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC).
Primary Responsibilities:
The business process analyst will support the FAAMIS/SAS applications and other related applications/functions. Specifically, the contractor will:
- Provide operational and technical support for air certification activities by creating, reviewing, and processing certification records and documentation in support of Federal Aviation Administration inspectors and Flight Standards personnel.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in analyzing business problems and recommending solutions.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision.
- Analyze, identify, report, and resolve data and account discrepancies across FAA automation systems, including FAAMIS and the Safety Assurance System (SAS), to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and continuity of certification operations.
- Manage, respond to, and resolve certification and system support requests within the Safety Assurance System (SAS), maintaining a turnaround time of within 24 hours, as delays may result in air certification work stoppages.
- Create, update, and maintain process documentation, job aids, and workflow guidance to support training and operational use of AFS-910 Flight Standards Automation systems, including FAAMIS and SAS.
- Support high-volume and time-sensitive certification initiatives by issuing, activating, and validating certification actions within FAAMIS and SAS, ensuring uninterrupted air certification operations and supporting nationwide FAA efforts to reduce certification backlogs within the National Airspace System (NAS).
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a BS degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or master’s with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 including Teams and other project tracking tools like JIRA.
- Ability to map business processes, prepare documentation, and perform analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to the Safety Assurance System (SAS).
- Understanding of Certificate Holder programs and Pre-cert requirements.
- Familiar with the Federal Aviation Administration organizational structure and policies.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
