Your Mission

As Product Manager, Emerging Franchises, you will serve as the lead publishing-side product manager for an upcoming premium console and PC video game within Activision’s Emerging Franchises portfolio. You will own the publishing product strategy, drive go-to-market planning, and lead cross-functional execution required to help bring the game to players around the world.

This role is for a high-agency operator who combines player-first thinking, market insight, analytical rigor, and commercial judgment. You will work closely with studio, production, marketing, communications, commercial, finance, and international teams to shape the plan and drive execution from strategy through launch.

If you are energized by ambiguity, motivated by ownership, and passionate about bringing great games to market, this is the role for you.

This role is anticipated to be assigned as a hybrid work model position, with some work on-site at an Activision Blizzard office and some work remote. Required days in office are Monday – Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Own Publishing Product Strategy

    • Define and drive the publishing product strategy for a premium console / PC title within Activision’s Emerging Franchises portfolio

    • Translate player insights, market signals, competitive research, and business goals into clear product recommendations and go-to-market decisions

    • Serve as a strategic thought partner to production and studio development teams to inform what features and content go into a title

  • Lead Go-to-Market Planning

    • Build and drive the global go-to-market plan in partnership with cross-functional publishing teams

    • Translate commercial goals, audience priorities, and brand positioning into clear go-to-market inputs, campaign strategy, marketing beats, and success metrics

    • Oversee the marketing budget, KPI tracking, and business reporting

  • Orchestrate Cross-Functional Execution

    • Lead day-to-day publishing execution across internal teams, ensuring workstreams are aligned, prioritized, and delivered on schedule

    • Drive clarity around goals, owners, timelines, risks, tradeoffs, and decisions

    • Champion all planning milestones and decision-making forums from announcement through launch

  • Drive Business Performance

    • Conduct analyses and build business cases to shape product, marketing, and commercial decisions

    • Define goals and track results including but not limited to marketing funnel metrics, sales performance, monetization, engagement, and retention

    • Bring urgency, accountability, and strong judgment to ambiguous, fast-moving business challenges

Player Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, go-to-market, publishing, or strategy roles, ideally within the video game or entertainment industries. Candidates with advanced degrees or other differentiated experience demonstrating exceptional impact and leadership may be considered outside of this range.

  • High agency, strong attention to detail, and the confidence to lead creative, technical, commercial, and operational teams through influence, across various levels of seniority

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that incorporate both quantitative and qualitative rigor, coupled with advanced PowerPoint and Excel proficiency

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver compelling presentations for a wide range of audiences

  • Adept at structuring ambiguous problems to drive to actionable solutions

  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution

  • Creative, out-of-the-box, thinking that challenges the video game publishing status quo
