Inventory Manager

We are looking for an Inventory Manager to support warehouse and inventory operations for a metal fabrication company in Monroe, North Carolina. This is a Contract position focused on maintaining accurate stock levels, coordinating material flow, and keeping daily distribution activities running smoothly. The role works closely with warehouse personnel and scheduling teams to ensure materials are received, recorded, stored, and prepared for outbound movement in an organized and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

• Direct daily warehouse activity across receiving, storage, inventory handling, and outbound shipments to keep operations organized and productive.

• Coordinate material availability so products are positioned and ready in advance of shipping schedules.

• Review system-generated inventory and order reports and partner with scheduling teams to align daily processing priorities.

• Record incoming materials and inventory transactions accurately within the company database and inventory systems.

• Monitor stock accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventory practices, and controlled receiving and dispatch processes.

• Track and reconcile inventory movement between locations to maintain reliable inventory records across facilities.

• Identify operational, staffing, or safety concerns and elevate issues promptly to leadership to avoid disruptions.

• Support warehouse upkeep by evaluating layout effectiveness, inspecting equipment, and arranging maintenance or repair when needed.
