Workers' Compensation Paralegal / Legal Assistant

Location: Coral Gables, FL

A well-established law firm in Coral Gables is seeking an experienced Paralegal or Legal Assistant with Florida Workers' Compensation experience to support at a fast-paced, fully paperless practice.

Software Used:

• TrialWorks
• ImageRight

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain electronic case files in ImageRight.
• Prepare and file Notices of Appearance.
• Draft and manage discovery, including Requests to Produce and discovery responses.
• Communicate with employers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel regarding discovery matters.
• Prepare, issue, and follow up on subpoenas for records and trial.
• Calendar and monitor discovery deadlines and follow-up tasks.
• Review, organize, and produce records for opposing counsel.
• Process and track invoices.
• Draft settlement documents and settlement-related correspondence.
• Prepare motions, including Motions to Dismiss, Motions to Compel, and other pleadings for attorney review.
• Review, organize, and upload all e-filings into ImageRight.
• Draft Pretrial Stipulations for attorney review.
• Assist with trial preparation, including Notices of Filing, Notices to Admit Medical Records, amendments to pretrial stipulations, exhibits, and trial materials.
• Track billable time accurately.
• Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support throughout the life of each case.
