Full-Charge Bookkeeper

Location: Redlands, CA 92373

Schedule: Onsite | Start time between 7:00 AM–8:00 AM (flexible)

About the Role

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join a stable and growing organization in Redlands. This is a hands-on, onsite accounting role supporting a construction-related business environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong full-cycle bookkeeping experience, a background working with general contractors, and the ability to manage accounting processes accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Handle full-cycle bookkeeping functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close. Based on general knowledge.

Manage construction billing, including progress billing, AIA billing, retainage, change orders, and lien waiver tracking. Based on general knowledge.

Maintain accurate financial records for multiple jobs and support project and budget reporting. Based on general knowledge.

Perform job costing and track project expenses, including labor, materials, and subcontractor-related costs. Based on general knowledge.

Prepare month-end reporting and assist with financial statement preparation, cash flow review, budgeting, and forecasting. Based on general knowledge.

Support subcontractor and vendor compliance documentation, including W-9s, certificates of insurance, and contracts. Based on general knowledge.

Ensure accuracy and timeliness across accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. Based on general knowledge.

Qualifications

3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience, ideally in construction or another project-based industry. Based on general knowledge.

Experience supporting general contractors required; subcontractor-only experience will not be considered.

Strong knowledge of construction accounting and billing.

Proficiency with QuickBooks required.

Experience with AP, AR, general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.

Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail. Based on general knowledge.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Based on general knowledge.

Must be local to Redlands and reside within 15 miles.

Preferred Background

Experience with construction job costing and project-based accounting environments. Based on general knowledge.

Knowledge of sales tax, basic employment compliance, and construction-related accounting requirements. Based on general knowledge.
