Position Description

A graduate student in an institution within the Texas Tech University System employed in support of a department or unit responsible for work assigned by the supervisor within the unit or department which utilizes knowledge beyond undergraduate academic studies.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Coach students through difficult material
  • Actively engage DPT students by asking questions that will facilitate their understanding
  • Encourage students to improve their study methods
  • Maintain a professional attitude and helpful demeanor
  • Provide constructive and accurate feedback
  • Dependably manage tutoring appointments and communicate any schedule changes with all parties involved
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and appointments
  • Assist with other tasks related to DPT program functions, faculty, or courses as assigned by the GA supervisor
  • Consistently perform work demonstrating professional maturity, commitment and accountability according to the five values described in TTUHSC's Values-Based Culture: One Team, Kindhearted, Integrity, Visionary, Beyond Service.


Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in the graduate program of an institution within the Texas Tech University System.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2nd year DPT student.
