Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is searching for an experienced Sr. Principal Trainer that specializes in Advanced Composites and Aircraft Structures, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is in Iuka, MS.

Responsibilities:

• Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.

• Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must possess a minimum of 15 years of composites fabrication, layup & repair experience

• Provide lecture and hands on instruction on complex vacuum bagging, wet lay-up, scarf repair, wedding cake repair, bracket bonding, Pi & Overwrap installation & removal, surface porosity the “Sand to Black” process, wet- layup, splintering repairs, and various other composite maintenance repairs

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs. U.S. Citizenship required for clearance

• Must demonstrate skills equivalent to entry level blueprint and technical data comprehension and shop math. Must be knowledgeable in the use of process specifications.

• Ability to interpret and teach complex composite instructions

• Must be able to work in confined spaces, be able to stand for long periods of time

• Must be able to travel to multiple Northrop Grumman locations

• Must be able to work All shifts to support training schedule and program needs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current/active a U.S. Government Secret level clearance

• Basic Knowledge of Microsoft suite

• Excellent written and oral communication skills & be able to work at a high level in a team environment

• Detail oriented

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, process-oriented environment

• Provide lectures and hands on instruction on Aircraft Structures processes & procedures.  

Primary Level Salary Range: $92,200.00 - $138,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
