Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day invoice and payment activities for a contract position. This role is ideal for someone with foundational accounts payable experience who can manage transaction details accurately and stay organized in a part-time schedule. The position will begin with initial training during the first week and then move to approximately 20 hours per week across 3 to 4 days.

Responsibilities:
• Process incoming invoices promptly and enter payment details into the appropriate system with a high degree of accuracy.
• Assign correct account codes to invoices to ensure expenses are recorded properly and consistently.
• Review vendor payment records and compare transactions to supporting documentation to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with ACH payments and check run activities in accordance with established timelines and controls.
• Communicate with internal contacts and vendors when clarification is needed on invoice amounts, coding, or payment status.
