Accounting Manager

Our client in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a long-term contract opportunity. This role will lead key month-end and close activities, support the integrity of general ledger records, and help ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and dependable. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, a hands-on approach to reconciliations and journal entry review, and the ability to support audit and compliance-related processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and can contribute quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and supporting schedules
• Review and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjusting entries
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances as needed
• Help ensure timely and reliable internal and external financial reporting
• Support audit preparation by organizing documentation and responding to requests
• Strengthen accounting processes and help maintain internal controls
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve workflows
• Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
