Grant Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Grant Accountant to support financial oversight and compliance activities for grant-funded programs in Deerfield, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented finance specialist who can manage complex funding requirements, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with program and administrative teams. The role focuses on strengthening grant accountability, ensuring proper fund tracking, and delivering reliable financial reporting in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the financial administration of grant-funded accounts, ensuring each award is tracked in accordance with funding terms and internal controls.
• Prepare, review, and maintain detailed grant budgets, expense allocations, and supporting documentation to promote accurate fund usage.
• Reconcile grant activity and account balances on a regular basis, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Produce financial reports for leadership, program stakeholders, and funding agencies with close attention to compliance and reporting deadlines.
• Monitor allowable and unallowable costs to help ensure spending remains aligned with grant requirements and government regulations.
• Support fund administration processes by maintaining organized records, audit-ready files, and clear documentation for all transactions.
• Apply accounting systems such as Abila MIP to record activity, manage reporting, and improve visibility into grant performance.
• Assist with calculations and financial analysis related to balances, allocations, and net asset reporting where applicable.
