Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in Windermere, Florida for a Contract position. This role supports core accounting operations with a focus on financial reporting, close activities, reconciliations, and pricing-related financial accuracy. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, a solid grasp of accounting principles, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting business needs and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Manage monthly close activities by preparing entries, reviewing supporting data, and ensuring reporting deadlines are met accurately.
• Reconcile liability and balance sheet accounts tied to marketing development funding and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Develop monthly reporting that highlights fluctuations, trends, and notable financial results for business review.
• Examine general ledger activity and complete account reconciliations to support compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Partner with analysts and cross-functional teams to deliver financial insight, respond to reporting needs, and support business decisions.
• Research accounting issues, communicate findings clearly, and recommend practical resolutions to improve accuracy and consistency.
• Identify process improvement opportunities that simplify accounting workflows and strengthen support for internal stakeholders.
• Review customer pricing records, validate contract-related details, upload approved pricing information into company systems, and investigate errors raised by sales or customer service teams.
• Perform audits of customer pricing data, assist with contract setup support as needed, and produce ad hoc financial reports for management.
