Accounts Payable Clerk
Position Overview A growing company with approximately $40 million in annual revenue is seeking a contract Accounts Payable Clerk to provide basic accounting and bookkeeping support during a period of expansion. The organization has historically operated with a lean accounting team and is in the process of building out a more structured finance department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level accounting detail oriented with Accounts Payable and QuickBooks Online experience who is looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity with the potential for increased hours over time.
Responsibilities Enter vendor invoices and bills into QuickBooks Online Assist with high-volume invoice processing (approximately 20–40 invoices per day) Follow up with vendors and internal stakeholders to obtain missing invoices and purchase orders Support credit card statement reconciliations Assist with general bookkeeping and accounts payable functions Maintain organized and accurate AP records Support multiple payment workflows, including automatic payments, immediate payments, and weekly payment runs Qualifications 1+ years of Accounts Payable, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience Experience using QuickBooks Online required Strong data entry and organizational skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities Comfortable following up on outstanding documentation and purchase orders Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Additional Information Flexible schedule and days worked Potential for hybrid flexibility for the right candidate Opportunity for hours to increase as departmental needs grow Interview process consists of a 30-minute Teams interview
