Full Charge Bookkeeper
Our client is seeking a hands-on Bookkeeper / Construction Billing Specialist to support daily accounting and office operations for a small, stable construction company This is a key onsite role responsible for bookkeeping, project billing, insurance tracking, and construction-related documentation support.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger activity
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice review, payment processing, customer billing, collections follow-up, and check printing
Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Support construction project billing, including progress billing and documentation tied to job activity
Partner with the outside accountant to support month-end close
Maintain billing records, financial reports, and cash flow summaries for leadership
Assist with bill of materials documentation and related recordkeeping
Track and manage insurance documents and related compliance items
Support construction documentation processes, including knowledge of AIA forms G702 and G703
Understand and work with conditional and unconditional lien releases
Coordinate with internal administrative support on lien releases and business license tracking
Additional Information
Payroll is processed through an outside payroll provider
HR responsibilities are minimal
Qualifications
Bookkeeping and accounting experience in the construction industry
Strong project billing experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks
Knowledge of AIA billing forms G702/G703
Understanding of lien release documentation
Strong communication and organizational skills
