Job Description: Senior Accountant – Finance Transformation
Location: U.S. Virgin Islands (Remote)

Position Summary
The Senior Accountant – Finance Transformation is a high-impact role responsible for leading a portfolio of cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving cost efficiency, strengthening financial controls, and driving operational transformation across the business.
This role blends technical accounting, financial operations, and project leadership, with ownership of key initiatives including billing system optimization, lease cost rationalization, inventory and warehouse transformation, vendor cost review, and automation of finance processes.
In parallel, the role maintains hands-on accountability for in-market accounting operations across procurement, logistics, AR, AP, tax, and regulatory compliance to ensure alignment between transformation initiatives and day-to-day financial performance.
Core Responsibilities
1. Cost Transformation & Strategic Projects (Primary Focus)
Lead and execute a portfolio of high-value cost and process transformation initiatives, including:

Billing System Migration & Optimization (One Bill Solution)
- Support system migration, billing accuracy validation, and revenue-to-GL alignment
Identify leakage, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation
- Analyze lease portfolio, contract terms, and utility costs
- Lead initiatives to reduce excess/obsolete inventory
- Evaluate vendor agreements for cost efficiency and value realization
- Analyze profitability and accounting treatment of dealer channel and retail operations

Implement AI-enabled tools and automation across:
- Collections and dunning processes
2. Financial Operations Oversight
Own and support critical in-market finance activities, ensuring strong linkage between transformation and operations:

Procurement & Logistics Operations & Accounting
- Review purchasing flows, cost allocations, and inventory movements
Managing inventory and ordering controls to minimize obsolescence risk
- Monitor aging, support collections strategy, and ensure proper accounting
- Ensure proper expense recognition, accruals, and vendor management discipline
- Support preparation and filing of required tax returns and regulatory submissions (FCC, PSC, USAC 499A/Q, Rate cases)
- Support accelerated and accurate month-end close processes
3. Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Deliver actionable insights on cost drivers and operational performance
- Develop KPI tracking for transformation initiatives (cost savings, working capital, cycle time)
- Support management reporting and executive-level presentations
4. Process Improvement & Controls
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies
- Document processes and implement scalable, repeatable workflows
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, IT, and FP&A
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA (or equivalent professional qualification) required
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial operations

Preferred
- Experience in telecommunications or high-volume operations
- Exposure to system implementations, process transformation, or automation initiatives
- Experience with ERP systems and billing platforms
