Position Overview:
This role sits within the Finance team and requires a combination of finance and systems expertise related to financial applications. It is not an IT role.
Composites One seeks a Sr. Financial Systems Analyst to own and advance our enterprise performance management stack, with primary focus on OneStream for consolidation, planning, and reporting. This role also supports SAP ERP finance metadata, processes, and testing, and contributes to evolving reporting and advanced analytics.
You will partner with Accounting, Finance, and IT to deliver U.S. GAAP-compliant reporting while ensuring system stability, data integrity, and timely issue resolution. As the OneStream subject-matter expert, you will lead configuration, development, integrations, and reporting architecture within our governance framework. You’ll ensure the platform supports budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close while maintaining performance, scalability, and security.
The ideal candidate combines hands-on OneStream expertise with real finance experience (close, consolidation, budgeting, and reporting) grounded in U.S. GAAP, and is eager to advance finance process maturity at Composites One.
Key Responsibilities:
OneStream Platform Administration & Operations
- Administer users, roles, security, and application profiles; manage promotions and lifecycle across environments.
- Maintain and optimize metadata (entities, accounts, scenarios, UD dimensions), hierarchies, and consolidation settings.
- Configure and monitor workflows for close, reporting, and planning; enforce certifications and approvals.
- Manage consolidation processes (IC matching/eliminations, ownership, allocations, FX rates/translation, overrides) and perform performance tuning.
- Plan and execute patches/upgrades; govern Marketplace solutions and job scheduling/automation.
Data Integration, Transformation & Reconciliation
- Monitor integrations between OneStream and upstream/downstream systems; coordinate changes and resolve issues with data consumers.
- Build and maintain transformation rules, mappings, allocations, validations, event handlers, and exception handling.
- Reconcile data across SAP, OneStream, Incorta, and GAAP financial statements.
- Manage FX/rate loads, master data synchronization, versioned mappings, and data lineage documentation.
Financial Processes, Planning & Reporting Enablement
- Partner with Accounting and FP&A on monthly close, consolidation, GAAP, and management reporting.
- Support budgeting/forecasting models, scenarios, versions, and driver-based planning.
- Translate finance and business requirements into scalable OneStream designs and enhancements.
- Collaborate with finance and global process owners on integrated data design (e.g., SAP, Incorta).
- Build and maintain GAAP and management reporting (financial statements, cube views, dashboards, report books, quick views).
Controls, Testing, Change Management & Application Support
- Define and execute unit, system, UAT, and regression testing; manage defect triage and resolution.
- Support SAP and Incorta testing impacting OneStream; develop traceable test cases and coordinate UAT/regression.
- Operate formal change control (design docs, impact analysis, release notes, version history).
- Define and enforce reporting controls (access reviews, segregation of duties, audit evidence, audit readiness).
- Triage and resolve incidents per SLAs; perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive monitoring.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party support; manage escalations.
- Maintain documentation (runbooks, metadata dictionaries, knowledge base); support training and backup/DR drills.
Expected Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience administering and developing OneStream or comparable Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance-centric role with direct involvement in month-end close, US GAAP reporting, and budgeting and forecasting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Windows environments.
- Strong experience with financial analytics, reporting tools, and BI platforms.
- Advanced financial modeling skills.
- Hands-on experience with U.S. GAAP consolidations in OneStream, including intercompany eliminations, ownership structures, foreign currency translation (FX/CTA), and minority interest.
- Strong understanding of EPM data processes, including integrations, transformations, workflows, validations, and reconciliations to source systems.
- Experience building and maintaining OneStream solutions, including calculations, business rules, cube views, dashboards, report books, quick views, XF Get/Set functions, and financial statements.
- Strong data governance experience, including metadata/master data management, security, auditability, documentation, and change control.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to bridge Finance and IT stakeholders under tight timelines.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Experience with SAP FI/CO and finance master data governance.
- Experience with SQL and data modeling; familiarity with semantic layers (e.g., Incorta or similar tools).
- Experience with system integrations (flat files, IDocs, APIs), reconciliation, and data quality/lineage.
